BLEACH BOMBS

Race Attacks Rock U. of Texas

Is Austin falling down on its job of keeping Texas in line? The campus of the University of Texas is reeling as reports emerge that black and Asian students have been pelted with balloons full of bleach over the past several months. Four minority students have filed police reports after being contacted by campus police, who investigated rumors and found clues on students’ Facebook pages. The students said the “bleach bombs” were dropped onto them from high-rise windows; one African-American student was hit twice. "It's very frustrating to know that it's 2012 and that stuff like this still happens," one student said. Police are continuing to investigate.
