Border Killing Was Likely Friendly Fire

The shooting that killed one border agent and injured another this week was probably the result of friendly fire, the FBI reported on Friday. Border Patrol Agent Nicholas Ivie was responding to a sensor alarm on the Arizona border when he was killed. Mexican authorities detained two suspects Thursday, but it’s unclear what their relation to the incident is. The FBI’s investigation is continuing.
