An Italian prostitution ring that brought in transsexuals from Latin America has been smashed, police say. Twenty-four of the 28 prostitutes nabbed are already in prison, and the arrests took place over the Italian regions of Lazio, Umbria, and Campania. Allegedly recruited from poor areas in Brazil and other Latin American countries, the prostitutes were sent to cities elsewhere in Europe before jetting in to Italy. The police also seized a dozen properties that they think were used by the ring.
