YouTube to Expand Channels Overseas

It’s not just cat videos any more on YouTube. The video site owned by Google said it plans to take its original programming channels to Europe in a bid to attract more advertising bucks with a host of programming options tailored by country. The launches planned for France, Germany, and the United Kingdom, along with new programs for the U.S., will total about 60 new channels. The site has been on a drive to promote its original content channels since last year when it launched about 100 of them in its first major expansion.
