Those days of playing nice with the president on the golf course are over. House Speaker John Boehner said raising tax rates is “unacceptable” in his first broadcast interview since the election. “Frankly, it couldn’t even pass the House,” Boehner told Diane Sawyer. But he said he’s willing to work with Obama’s proposals even if they clash with the GOP’s principles. “I’m the most reasonable, responsible person here in Washington,” Boehner added. “The president knows it.”
