The JetBlue pilot who went “nuts” on a cross-country flight last spring is free to go about his life as he wishes—on a few conditions. Clayton Osbon, who was charged for running into the cabin mid-flight and yelling “Iraq, al Qaeda, terrorism, we’re all going down,” was found not guilty by reason of insanity in July. On Friday, a Texas judge said he can go home rather than being committed to a mental institution, so long as he never flies or boards a plane again and doesn’t communicate with the JetBlue passengers he terrorized.
