‘Skyfall’ Could Set Bond Record
James Bond has never settled for less than the best. In typical fashion, the spy thriller’s newest installment has beat out all competition on Friday, on its first day at the box office—and it’s on track to have the highest opening for a Bond film yet. Raking in $30.8 million on Friday’s debut, the film is estimated to make around $77 million over the weekend. Quantum of Solace set the previous record with $67.5 during its opening weekend in 2008.
