George Zimmerman, the man who stands accused of fatally shooting 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in February, is suing NBC. Zimmerman is alleging that the network made him look like a “hostile racist” when it spliced his 911 call to make it sound like he told authorities that Martin was black without any prompting. The full audio footage revealed that Zimmerman was responding to a question about Martin’s race. Zimmerman is suing for defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress. He’s seeking unspecified damages.
