Sarah Silverman Defends ‘Django’

She may not exactly be the morality police, but she’s in Tarantino’s corner. Comedian Sarah Silverman is calling out director Spike Lee for criticizing the rampant use of the “N word” in Quentin Tarantino's new film, Django Unchained. Lee criticized the film, which uses the word roughly 110 times, for mocking slavery and being “disrespectful to my ancestors.” Silverman tells TMZ that Lee is wrong: “Doesn’t it take place during slavery? Wouldn’t it be odd if they didn’t have that horrific word in it?”
