    Military Suicides Hit Record in 2012

    The number of military suicides in 2012 rose to 349—a record number that exceeds the 295 people who died in combat deaths, the Associated Press reported on Monday. The Army had the most suicides among active-duty troops with 182, but suicide among the Marine Corps increased by 50 percent. In 2011, there were 301 reported military suicides.
