President Obama’s historic use of the word “gay” in his inauguration speech on Monday was cheered in the LGBT community. But one transgender 11-year-old girl named Sadie wondered why she wasn’t included, too. “Transgender kids like me are not allowed to go to most schools because the teachers think we are different from everyone else,” Sadie reminded the president in a hand-written essay that has been making the rounds on the Internet. “It really isn't that hard to like transgender people because we are like everyone else."
