The royal family of Monaco has taken issue with a film thatnegatively portrays the marriage between Princess Grace and Prince Rainier.Grace of Monaco, starring Nicole Kidman, portrays the princess as so unhappy inher loveless and possibly abusive marriage that she tries to leave her husbandand resume her Hollywood acting career. The couple’s children recently denouncedthe film as “needlessly glamorized” and riddled with “major historicalinaccuracies and a series of purely fictional scenes.” But one Kelly biographerdefended the film, calling it “a very slim slice of Grace’s life and it isnowhere near as negative as it could be.”
