The chair used by Clint Eastwood at the 2012 Republican National Convention was never going to go back in the storage closet after its brush with fame. It was destined for something bigger: Reince Priebus’ office, where visitors now ask to have their photos taken with it. The chairman of the Republican National Committee tells NBC that he knew he had to have the chair “two minutes” after Eastwood finished haranguing the invisible Obama sitting on it. “I told my wife and a couple of folks that were around me, ‘Let’s get that chair,’” he says. Priebus says the chair is the most popular item in his office, and visitors always ask to have their photo taken with it.
