Newsflash, Rex Reed: no one likes you. Not only did the New York Observer film critic give a sour review of Identity Thief, but he devoted considerable attention to Melissa McCarthy’s weight, calling her “tractor-sized,” a “female hippo,” and “humongous creep.” First of all, in what world is it appropriate for a film critic to fat-shame one of our most beloved balls-to-the-wall female comedians? Has he even seen her in Bridesmaids? This guy deserves a big smack in the face, perhaps in the form of “you’re fired.”
