Matt Lauer: Next ‘Jeopardy!’ Host?

    Game Show Hosts for $400. Here’s the clue: “He could replace Alex Trebek as the next host of Jeopardy.” The answer, in the form of a question: “Who is Matt Lauer?” The Today show host is being strongly courted to replace Jeopardy’s longtime emcee when he steps down in 2016, The New York Post reports. Lauer’s own Today contract expires in 2015, meaning that should he choose not to renew, the timing would work out perfectly. Sources also tell the Post that feelers are being put out to Anderson Cooper for his interest in taking over as Jeopardy quizmaster. But the real burning question is, will the replacement grow Trebek’s iconic mustache?
