He rocked the Internet when he disclosed his out-of-control shopping addiction in a GQ essay, and now Buzz Bissinger is getting help. The Friday Night Lights author and Daily Beast contributor checked into an undisclosed rehab center Tuesday after acknowledging spending nearly $600,000 on clothes since 2010. The writer told NBC in a statement: “I wrote [the essay] because it was the only way I knew of coming to terms and getting the help I am now getting. I have no regrets about what I wrote but I also have nothing to add. The story speaks for itself.”
