Executives at major grocery chains are probably shaking in their boots over the prospect of Amazon selling food. The giant Internet retailer is said to be prepping a major expansion into the grocery market, planning to offer eggs, strawberries, and everything else in dozens of cities. The company has been testing AmazonFresh in Seattle for the past five years and could expand to Los Angeles as early as this week and San Francisco later this year. Amazon has been looking for new business opportunities to keep the company’s share prices climbing.
