Sharknado 2 just won’t the same. TMZ reported on Saturday that the star of the first film, Tara Reid, won’t be returning to the sequel—because the producers don’t want her. Sharknado, the Syfy film about a shark-filled tornado in Los Angeles, was a social-media phenomenon, but only scored modest ratings at the time. That hasn’t stopped the channel from announcing a New York-set sequel is in the works—although producers apparently didn’t put Reid on their wish list for the cast. Her co-star Ian Ziering is reportedly set to return. They both made apparently $50,000 for the original.
