Getting closer. Newark Mayor Cory Booker unsurprisingly won in the special primary election Tuesday. The Associated Press declared Booker as the winner after roughly 45 minutes and with only seven percent of results in. Trailing behind his 57 percent was Rep. Frank Pallone with 25 percent followed by Rep. Rush Holt at 14 percent and Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver with 5 percent. The Democrat will go up against Republican Steve Lonegan in about two months. Following the outcome, Booker tweeted his support: "Thanks 2 all who worked/canvassed/called & spread the word 4 our campaign. 'If u want to go fast go alone, if u want to go far, go together'"
