    Boehner Backs Obama on Syria

    Syria, here we come. House Speaker John Boehner said he supports the president’s call for action in Syria. Boehner also said that his colleagues should stand with Obama too. And that's exactly what Senator Hary Reid and Virginia Rep. Eric Cantor did. Reid said that he was confident there are enough votes to pass the resolution in the Senate. On Tuesday Obama met with Republican and Democratic leaders in search of the congressional thumbs-up to launch a limited military strike in Syria. Previously, John McCain had endorsed the president’s plan Monday.
