    Illinois Passes Gay Marriage

    Proud of your home state, President Obama? On Tuesday, the Illinois House voted through a measure to legalize gay marriage—and the state Senate quickly folowed through. The bill now goes to Gov. Pat Quinn, who has promised to sign it into law, making the state the nation’s 15th to pass same-sex marriage. “Who am I to judge?” House Speaker Mike Madigan said, quoting Pope Francis.
