Talk about an online steal! Three J. D. Salinger stories, “The Ocean Full of Bowling Balls,” “Paula,” and “Birthday Boy” which have previously only been available to read at research libraries, have been leaked via a bittorrent site and Reddit. Salinger scholar Kenneth Slawenski confirmed to Buzzfeed that these are truly Salinger's unpublished stories, having read the previously guarded manuscripts. On Reddit, the uploader claimed he found the works on eBay. One of the stories, "The Ocean Full of Bowling Balls," is considered Salinger's best unpublished work and is sort of a prequel to Catcher In The Rye.
