GOP Ready to Cave on Debt Ceiling

    As Republicans head to their annual policy retreat in Maryland, privately their leaders are reportedly preparing for the likelihood that they will have to pass a clean debt ceiling increase without spending cuts. The GOP faces a united opposition from House and Senate Democrats along with the president, and is unlikely to start a fight that risks default in an election year.
