It may have been an epically disappointing game, but Super Bowl XLVIII destroyed ratings records on Sunday night, becoming the most watched show in U.S. television history. An average of 111.5 million viewers tuned in to watch the Seattle Seahawks defeat the Denver Broncos in a 43-8 game. An additional four million watched the halftime show. The previous ratings record was held by the New York Giants vs. New England Patriots in 2012, with 111.3 million viewers.
