In a major turnaround, the director of the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said today that the recent CBO report on the Affordable Care Act found that it will reduce the unemployment rate. On Tuesday, Republicans crowed that the report, which found that the equivalent of 2.5 million workers would choose to reduce work hours, meant that Obamacare was killing that number of jobs. Now, however, Director Douglas Elmendorf says that Obamacare's impact on labor demand "spurs employment and would reduce unemployment over the next few years."
