Five Republican lawmakers from Arizona have turned against a controversial bill that would allow business owners to discriminate against gays. Three state senators who previously supported the bill have now delivered a letter to Gov. Jan Brewer requesting she veto it, saying that its mischaracterization is "causing our state immeasurable harm." Meanwhile, Sen. John McCain tweeted, “I hope Governor Brewer will veto #SB1062,” and junior Republican Sen. Jeff Flake wrote a similar message. Apple and national business groups have also come out against the legislation. Brewer has until Friday to sign or veto the bill.
