Michelle Cracks Down on Cafeterias

    The first lady is continuing her attack on the childhood battle of the bulge. She is proposing today a new set of rules on the types of foods and beverages that can be advertised in schools. Under the new regulations, high-caloric product logos cannot be on products, vending machines, or posters in schools. Through what we can only assume is clinched teeth, the president of the American Beverage Association, which represents Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and Dr Pepper, said "We look forward to working with the USDA on their proposed rule to align food and beverage signage in schools with the new regulations as the next logical next step."
