More than 4 million people have enrolled in insurance plans offered through Obamacare so far, according to a government report issued Tuesday. A growing number of those enrolling are young adults under age 34, the Obama administration’s target demographic. Twenty-five percent of total Affordable Care Act enrollment from October through February was comprised of young adults; the age group made up 27 percent of those who used public exchanges to sign up for an insurance plan in February alone. While this is all good news for the White House, Tuesday’s report suggests the program won’t likely meet its goal of getting 7 million people to sign up through public exchanges by the March 31 open enrollment deadline for 2014. That assessment, of course, doesn’t take into account Obama’s Between Two Ferns plug.
