Character Actor James Rebhorn Dies

    James Rebhorn, the popular character actor who portrayed a conniving defense secretary in Independence Day and Carrie's father in Homeland, has passed away at the age of 65. Rebhorn was easily recognizable in many TV shows and movies, often in a suit. He played a role in more than 50 films, including Cold Mountain, Meet the Parents, and Scent of a Woman.
