The death of far-right Ukrainian leader Oleksandr Muzychko, 51, last month during a shootout with police happened when the man accidentally shot and killed himself, according to the interior ministry. Muzychko, also known as Sashko Bilyi, was a prominent leader in the Kiev protests and clashes with police forces, and his death had caused internal tension as his group, the Right Sector, had threatened revenge for his death. Investigators said he shot himself in the heart while police were wrestling him to the ground. The Right Sector, which has been seen as undermining the fledgling government and giving credence to Russia’s claims of fascism, claims the death was a contract killing by Interior Minister Arsen Avakov.
