Brad Pitt’s Plan B production company has bought the rights to adapt a Rolling Stone article “Anonymous vs. Steubenville,” which told the story of a hacker from Anonymous who worked to expose the coverup of the rape of a 16-year-old girl by high-school football players in Steubenville, Ohio. After leaking the video of the players with the victim, the hacker, Deric Lostutter, was charged with identity theft and threatening action against the players, and could face a decade in prison. Pitt’s Plan B is coming off producing this year’s Best Picture winner at the Oscars, 12 Years a Slave.
