In testimony at his murder trial, athlete Oscar Pistorius started with an apology to victim Reeva Steenkamp's family, saying, "There hasn't been a moment since this tragedy happened that I haven't thought about your family." The double-amputee claims he killed Steenkamp by mistake, while prosecutors claim he killed her after an argument. Pistorius also told the victim's family he was "simply trying to protect" her.
