British soccer team Manchester United has sacked manager David Moyes after less than a year in the position. Moyes was chosen by his predecessor, Sir Alex Ferguson, who served as manager for 26 years. The team has struggled under Moyes, including six games lost at home. The club has made few comments about firing Moyes. On Tuesday, Man U said in a statement that it “would like to place on record its thanks for the hard work, honesty, and integrity he brought to the role."
