In response to nationwide cries for retribution after the Pakistani Taliban killed 148 people in a school massacre, Pakistan killed 67 militants in a northwestern tribal region. In addition, a Pakistani prosecutor announced that the government would try to cancel the bail granted to the alleged mastermind of the 2008 Mumbai attacks. The Army also signed death warrants for six “hard core terrorists.”
