Surveillance Planes Fly Over Baltimore

At least two airplanes allegedly assisted by the FBI were spotted flying over the scene of last week’s Baltimore riots, days after the unrest, The Washington Post reported Tuesday. A government official familiar with the operations told the Post that Baltimore police had requested the flights from the FBI for aerial support, using infrared technology to monitor people’s movements in the area. The American Civil Liberties Union is planning to file information requests regarding the planes with federal agencies on Wednesday, according to officials. The FBI declined to comment on the planes.
