Dzhokhar Tsarnaev asked God to forgive him and apologized to the victims and survivors of his terrorist attack on the 2013 Boston Marathon during his appearance in front of a federal court Wednesday.
“I would like to apologize to the victims and the survivor. I am sorry for the lives I have taken, for the suffering I have caused, and for the terrible damage I have done.
“I pray to Allah to bestow his mercy on those affected in the bombing and their families. I pray for your healing.”
With that, Tsarnaev sat down and Judge George A. O’Toole decided his fate.
“I sentence you to the penalty of death by execution.”
