A Nobel laureate who gave a speech about the “trouble” he had with having female employees in a labratory won’t be getting his job back, even though an inquiry found that he was likely joking. Sir Tim Hunt resigned from an honorary professorship at the University College of London amid the controversy last month. (Deborah Blum reported at The Daily Beast that Hunt told her he was being honest.) “Reinstatement was never on the cards,” a university source told The Telegraph, although a council is set to meet Thursday to decide his fate. “The provost has been clear about this from the start.”
