Pope Francis admitted Sunday night to overlooking struggles faced by the middle class in his focus on the poor. A German journalist aboard the papal airplane asked him about the omission. “It’s a good correction, thanks,” Francis said. “You are right. It’s an error of mine not to think about this.” He made the remarks while returning to the Vatican from a whirlwind trip around his native South America.
