Divorce papers show that Chattanooga shooter Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez came from an abusive home. The papers, filed by his mother in 2009 and withdrawn 22 days later, claim that Abdulazeez’s father frequently beat and sexually assaulted her, even when their children were at home.
