The spotlight was again on the sibling rivalry between Serena and Venus Williams on Tuesday at the U.S. Open quarterfinal match. Serena Williams defeated her sister in the first time the pair have squared off in New York since 2008 and the 27th time they have faced each other. Serena Williams won 6-2, 1-6, 6-3, to advance to the semifinal and keep her chances alive for a Grand Slam, or winning all four majors in a calendar year. The win at Arther Ashe Stadium was her 26th in a row at the U.S. Open, a streak that dates back to the 2011 final. She will advance to face 43rd-ranked Roberta Vinci.
