Senator David Vitter (R-LA) leaves the Senate floor on Capitol Hill in Washington May 7, 2015. The U.S. Senate voted overwhelmingly on Thursday to pass a bill giving Congress the right to review, and potentially reject, an international nuclear agreement with Iran.

Republican Sen. David Vitter, who is campaigning for governor of Louisiana, released an attack ad Monday against his Democratic opponent, John Bel Edwards, that features footage from last week’s Paris terrorist attacks. “Obama is sending Syrian refugees to Louisiana & John Bel Edwards pledged to work with him to bring them here!” the ad’s Twitter caption read.
