The new Los Angeles Football Club announced Will Ferrell as one of its co-owners Thursday. “This is not a joke,” the comedian and actor said after being introduced at a press conference. The LAFC will make its Major League Soccer debut in 2018, and is owned by a star-studded group that includes Ferrell, NBA Hall of Famer Magic Johnson, star ex-shortstop Nomar Garciaparra, soccer icon Mia Hamm Garciaparra, and author Tony Robbins.
