Ben Carson, who functions as a surrogate for Donald Trump’s campaign as well as the person allegedly helping him pick his vice president, requested a meeting with Speaker of the House Paul Ryan ahead of Trump’s own meeting with him on Thursday. The meeting has reportedly not been set yet but was called with the purpose of settling tensions between Ryan and Trump.
