A Delta aircraft landed at the wrong airport in South Dakota on Thursday night, the airline confirmed. Flight 2845 landed safely at Ellsworth Air Force Base instead of its intended destination of Rapid City. The airline said the flight, which originated in Minneapolis, departed for Rapid City shortly after touching down at Ellsworth. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the incident. Meanwhile, the crew members involved were placed on leave, Delta said.
