East Baton Rouge District Attorney Hillar Moore announced Monday he will recuse himself from the investigation surrounding the fatal police shooting of Alton Sterling on July 5. Moore cited his personal relationship with the parents of Officer Blane Salamoni, who was one of the cops involved in the shooting. Moore called the decision “one of the hardest I’ve had to make in my career.”
