A nun who was taken hostage during Tuesday's attack on a church in Normandy, France, told local media that the 86-year-old priest whose throat was slashed was forced to kneel before his death. "They forced him to his knees. He wanted to defend himself. And that's when the tragedy happened," said the nun, who called herself Sister Danielle. She added, "They recorded themselves. They did a sort of sermon around the altar, in Arabic. It's a horror." She told reporters that the slain man was "a great priest." At least one other victim is badly injured after the attack, during which two men entered the church during mass and took the group hostage. A nun who escaped called police, and the hostage-takers were killed in the following confrontation.
