Children in a damaged neighbourhood in the city of Sirte, Libya, where their parents have repaired their dwellings to the point of being habitable. Sirte, Gaddafi's stronghold, sustained severe damage during the war; 7,000 houses are counted as destroyed in this city of 75,000. As people return, they try to pick up the ruins of their lives, while pro-Gaddafi supporters square off against those who supported the revolution, turning schoolyards into battlegrounds and children into involuntary proxy warriors. In this photo, the child on the right wears a green ribbon in support of Gaddafi.
