Investigators working for Special Counsel Robert Mueller are seeking information from the eighth person—identified as Ike Kavaladze—who attended the June 2016 meeting between Trump associates and a Kremlin-connected lawyer, CNN reported Tuesday. Kavaladze’s lawyer Scott Balber confirmed to the cable network: “The eighth person has been identified by prosecutors and we are cooperating fully with prosecutors as a result of the investigation. To preserve the integrity of the investigation we are declining to identify him at this time.” Balber said Mueller’s team has not interviewed his client yet, nor have the investigators reached out to his other clients Emin—a Russian pop star who’s done business with Trump—and his father Aras Agalarov, a Kremlin-tied billionaire real-estate mogul. The Washington Post and CNN both later confirmed the mystery man to be Kavaladze.
