Sarah Palin Sues New York Times for Tying Her to Giffords Shooting
An editorial falsely accused Palin PAC before appending a correction.

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has filed a defamation lawsuit against The New York Times over an editorial tying her political action committee’s ad to the 2011 shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. After the shooting earlier this month that targeted GOP members of Congress, the Times ran an editorial that suggested an ad by Palin’s super PAC was tied to the 2011 shooting, before appending a correction that said “no such link was established” between the ad and the shooting. Palin, the 2008 GOP vice-presidential nominee, is seeking damages in the suit.
