Financier Anthony Scaramucci, a well-known Republican donor and frequent defender of President Trump, is reportedly expected to be named the new White House communications director on Friday. An unnamed senior administration official confirmed the news to The New York Times late Thursday after Scaramucci’s expected appointment was earlier reported by Axios. Scaramucci would be replacing Mike Dubke, who resigned in May. Scaramucci, 53, previously hosted a financial program on Fox Business Network and often made the rounds on cable talk shows promoting Trump’s policies. He has yet to comment on the reports.
